Our Mission

At Memo Bio, we aim to lower the cost of biodegradable plastic polymers, ensuring they are more accessible to manufacturers of bioplastic products. This will facilitate the use of bioplastics as substitutes for petroleum-based plastics.

Our Technology

To achieve production of biodegradable polymers at affordable prices, we use bioreactors to grow our proprietary strains of methane-eating bacteria that have been bio-engineered for high polymer yield. Process optimisation, high-yield production strains and cheap methane feedstock enable us make affordable biodegradable plastic polymers.

Our Products

The ability to introduce sustainable substitutes for petroleum-based plastic has tremendous value in curbing plastic pollution. Our PhaMe® product line, offer various blends of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) polymers that are fully biodegradable, preventing long-term issues such as microplastics contamination and damage to marine ecosystems. Furthermore, PhaMe® polymers are biocompatible, making them ideal for biomedical applications such as implants, devices and prosthetics
